HCC II was designed with the highest level of customer service in mind.
Each floor offers core services such as patient waiting and reception areas, examination rooms, consultation areas and conference rooms. A courtyard area spans between the HCC and HCC II, with a walkway entrance to USC University Hospital and its parking structure.
At 238,000 square feet, HCC II is roughly twice the size of the original Healthcare Consultation Center. It includes two underground levels of parking as well as adjacent surface parking for patients.
The HCC II features diagnostic imaging facilities, physical therapy, and a clinical laboratory. USC private practices in the building include internal medicine, orthopaedic surgery, psychiatry, anesthesia’s pain management program, neurology, neurosurgery, head and neck surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery.
The USC Radiology Associates wholly owns and operates the diagnostic imaging facilities at HCC II which include Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR), Computed Tomography Imaging (CT), Ultrasound (US), Computed Radiography (CR), Radio-Fluorography (RF), and Angiography (AX). In June 2004, USC RA installed a state-of-the-art total digital solution featuring integrated Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), and Voice Recognition (VR) which provides clinical images, information, and results distributed in real-time throughout HCC II and the entire Health Science Campus.
