Background:

Jasper has 6 years of experience in workflow and dataflow optimization through systems integration of medical and radiology information systems, including PACS, RIS, CAD, and web-based client solutions. His research is in novel enterprise PACS solutions, which addresses today’s needs in the management of protected patient imaging data between multiple healthcare and imaging sites. He has professional consulting experience in system architecture design, systems integration, implementation, QA, and end-user training. With knowledge of current medical informatics standards and project management experience in complex enterprise imaging systems integration, Jasper has developed DICOM-compliant middleware software and enterprise data infrastructures that meet the IHE Radiology and IT integration profiles.

Jasper Lee received a bachelor degree in Biomedical Electrical Engineering from the USC Viterbi School in 2006. He joined the Image Processing and Informatics Laboratory in 2004 as an undergraduate researcher and continued his Masters degree while developing a medical imaging data grid for PACS, multi-center clinical trials, and tele-radiology. His PhD dissertation was conducted in collaboration with the USC Molecular Imaging Center, entitled, ‘Molecular Imaging Data Grid (MIDG) for Multi-Site Small Animal Imaging Research Based on OGSA and IHE XDS-i.’
