Background:
Mr. Zhou has 6 years experience in researches and developments on PACS and Medical Imaging Informatics. He has developed a lossless digital signature embedding (LDSE) method for medical image integrity in his Ph.D. dissertation researches. The LDSE method provides a robust integrity assurance to image integrity and an ability to completely recover the original image. He also developed a HIPAA compliant auditing system for PACS. The auditing system can track the image data access events in PACS and generate a HIPAA compliant audit trails on image access for any specific patient. In addition, as one of main investigators in the Data Grid project, he designed the system integration and technical workflow for the Data Grid. He was involved in the development of PACS Simulator for PACS trainings, the Internet2 applications for medical images, and a fault-tolerant PACS archive server as well.
He has very good knowledge in DICOM, HIPAA, image security, and grid computing, as well as good skills in database design, software programming, and various computer systems and networks administration. He also has expertise in large-scale medical imaging system integration and development.
